The Skindog Surf School is based at the Gone Feral shop next to the Phoenix pub at Watergate Bay near Newquay in Cornwall. We offer a full range of lessons from half or full days, group bookings, and Pro days with Ben Skinner himself!

We run lessons twice a day at 10am & 2pm, allowing you to choose when and how much you want to surf. Each lesson is 2 hours long, includes all equipment and is split between time on the beach learning skills and time in the water putting what you have learnt into practice. As all of our surf instructors are BSA qualified coaches, as well as experienced surfers, a lesson with Skindog’s surf school will do much more than simply get you on your feet.

Skindog Single Session £35

We want to get people surfing properly! With the guidance of one of our accomplished surf instructors you will be introduced to water safety, basic board control, and correct stance arming you with a great foundation in the sport of surfing. The lesson consists of time spent both on the beach and in the water with the highest level of coaching throughout.

Skindog single session 10am or 2pm, lasting 2 hours.

Skindog Day £45

Fancy a little bit extra, make it a full day. The introductory Skindog single session, with an additional 2 hr progression session in the afternoon. This full day of comprehensive surf tuition is great if you're looking for a safe and fun filled surfing experience. The more you learn and the better you get the more fun you will have, that's why we keep doing it anyway!

Skindog Day, introductory session 10am, progression session 2pm, each lasting 2 hours.

Skindog 3 Day Special £120

Three days of tuition with the crew at Skindogs Surf School. Aimed at beginners wanting to gain surfing knowledge and maximise their time in the water. Building different skills each day, such as turns, riding unbroken waves and maneuverability.

Skindog 3 day special, three mornings and three afternoon sessions, each lasting 2 hours.

Skindog Pro Days

Throughout the year we will be offering numerous exciting events with long boarding's world number 2, Ben Skinner, along with other pro surfers. Why not test ride an Oxbow wetsuit or a custom board from Ben's range of Skindog surfboards?

Surf Like A Girl

Brought to you and designed by Sophie Skinner, surf like a girl is surf coaching by girls for girls. Great for hen parties, small groups, even the individual needing a push in the right direction. Call or email us for more details and group rates.

Groups Hen/Stag parties

We cater for Stag and Hen, school parties, the forces, or any large group of up to 20 people. Discounts are given on large groups, just call or email us for the best price.
