WLT update 28/07/2009

Well today saw the event prosponed,prosponed,and prosponed again, untill eventually it got under way in not the best conditions. They managed to run off the first ten heats out of sixteen, and in the last heat of the day Ben was up against Jarrad Neal from Australia,as you would imagine Ben was nervous for the first heat, as you would be, up against the best 32 longboarders in the world, but there was no need for the nerves, as he dominated from the start, looking much more lively than Jarrad Neal, in very tricky, barely 2ft onshore waves. In good form he goes into the last 16 and faces world number 2 Antoine Delpero, who Ben has surfed against for many years,and just for the record, the last time they met Ben came out on top!
