Introducing the Harley Ingleby Mid 6, a mid-length surfboard featuring the stunning Thunderbolt Red technology that not only performs exceptionally but is undeniably beautiful.
Crafted for maximum mid-length performance in all wave types, the Mid 6 boasts a fine, round pin tail, a curvy plan shape, smooth rocker, and a touch of nose flip. Its versatile design allows for comfortable turns deep in the pocket or long open-face arcs. The pinched rails at the nose transition into mid tucked rails and a low, hard rail profile at the tail. The foiling from the center achieves a balanced drive through sections while ensuring stability in tight turning arcs. Whether navigating everyday surf or handling more serious waves, the Mid 6 excels. The 6-channel setup enhances acceleration without compromising maneuverability, striking the perfect balance.
Collaborating with shaper Billy Tolhurst, Harley Ingleby aimed to create an all-around mid-length board focused on performing well in both average and better conditions, building on the success of boards like the Moe. Offering excellent paddling and early entry capabilities, the Mid 6 is a fast and responsive surfboard. Tested as both a quad and a thruster, it thrives as a quad with a large set of fins, especially HI's bespoke XL quad set or any foiled large quad set.
With two World Longboard titles under his belt, Harley Ingleby is renowned for his shortboard-style attack coupled with a smooth and traditional longboard repertoire.
Constructed with 'Thunderbolt Red,' the Mid 6 features a 100% hand layup Xeon Fibreglass Lamination for competition weight and flex. The technology includes a Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank with a Carbon Fibre Multi-Component Flex Control System, replacing the traditional wooden stringer. This, combined with Xeon Fibreglass lamination, ensures a consistent flex throughout the board's extended lifespan. The 6 + 4oz fiberglass deck lamination on top and 6 + 2oz on the bottom, along with the Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank wrapped in a Core Shield PVC Shell, provide durable and flexible protection to the EPS core.
These boards are meticulously crafted with 100% hand layups, meeting the highest standards. It's important to note that the board you purchase is identical to the one Harley Ingleby rides, ensuring top-tier quality and performance.
